Will you cover difference between tuition minus GI Bill and cost of in state "state" school tuition? Or do you want to keep it to in-state residents? After August 1, 2011 charges reported to the VA for payment through Post 9/11 GI Bill will change to be the actual net cost for in-state tuition and fees.

An Important Change from the Improvements Act of 2010

The actual net cost for in-state tuition and fees assessed by the institution for the program of education after the application of any waiver of, or reduction in, tuition and fees; and any scholarship, or other Federal, State, institutional, or employer-based aid or assistance (excluding loans and title IV funds) that is provided directly to the institution and specifically designated for the sole purpose of defraying tuition and fees.

For students receiving Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits at the 100% eligibility rate, the VA will pay for all in-state mandatory tuition and fees.  If the student has 90%, 80%, 70%, etc… eligibility, the VA will pay that percentage of tuition and fees.  Non-resident students will be responsible for all out-of state tuition, unless they qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program.  Below are the qualifications for the Yellow Ribbon Program.  Please note College of Continuing Education, Advanced Programs, and Liberal Studies are not covered under our Main Campus Yellow Ribbon Program.
