SAT/ACT mins:  While UK has no minimum score requirement, the 2010 freshman class average was 25.2 ACT.

SAT or ACT Scores must not be more than:  5 years old.

Freshmen class report date: UK will notify the Marine in writing when accepted.

Yellow Ribbon participant: Yes, currently we have 50 slots for undergrads and 25 for graduate students.  The YRP is managed on a first come first served basis.  *Please note that with the passage of recent Kentucky legislation, all Veterans using their Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits are granted "in-state" tuition which has virtually eliminated the need for YR at UK.

Will you cover difference between tuition minus GI Bill and cost of in state "state" school tuition? Or do you want to keep it to in-state residents? All Veterans using their Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits are considered "in state" for tuition purposes.

Do you want to donate additional money to each applicant should the need arise?   No, however we do offer interest free emergency loans to veterans.

Processing fees: Waived

Are all majors open to Marines? Some colleges are selective in nature such as engineering and nursing.  Students must apply to those colleges after being accepted by UK.

Recognize AA degree or any college course work: Yes, if accredited by one of the six regional accrediting bodies.

Recognize awarding of college credits via alternative means, e.g., DANTES or CLEP: Yes, UK does accept some CLEP credit and military credit.
