SAT/ACT mins: If the student has a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale as calculated by the university, there currently is no minimum. The test, however, must be taken. The University of North Florida does not admit students who demonstrate a need for remediation. The State of Florida sets the following minimum standardized test minimums as the threshold for not requiring remediation:
SAT- CR= 440 M = 440
ACT- E=17 R = 18 M = 19
If the student has a 2.5 – 2.99 grade point average on a 4.0 scale as calculated by the university, he/she must meet the minimums in each of the three areas:
- SAT-Critical Reading ≥460 or ACT – Reading ≥19;
- SAT-Mathematics≥460 or Act-Mathematics≥19; and
- SAT-Writing≥440 or ACT-Combined English/Writing ≥18.
SAT or ACT Scores must not be more than: No date limit but test must be with Writing section.

Will you cover difference between tuition minus GI Bill and cost of in state "state" school tuition? Or do you want to keep it to in-state residents? In-state only.
Do you want to donate additional money to each applicant should the need arise? No, with limited financial aid resources we are unable to, however, the student can apply for additional financial aid through the normal financial aid application process.
Processing fees: $30 application fee.
All majors open to Marines? It may depend upon whether or not if the Marine meets common prerequisites for the degree program and/or, if applicable, other requirements for special limited access programs. Recognize AA degree or any college course work: An Associate of Arts degree from a Florida College System institution will be accepted in accordance with the Statewide Articulation Agreement.

Additional information: First-Time-In-College Student (Less than 12 semester hours of college credit after high school graduation)
Completion of a standard high school diploma or equivalent with successful completion of coursework including at least 18 credits of college preparatory courses comparable to courses designated
- as core for admission purposes in the Counseling for Future Education Handbook found at the State University System section. Course requirements includes include 4 credits of English/Language Arts with composition, 4 credits of mathematics (Algebra I and higher), 3 credits of social science, 3 credits of natural science (at least 2 with laboratory work), 2 credits of foreign language in the same language (or demonstrated competency at the second level), and two electives. One credit equals one year of high school work.
Limited exceptions may be made for applicants not taking two years of high school or college credit in foreign language.
