Yellow Ribbon participant: Yes.
Will you cover difference between tuition minus GI Bill and cost of in state "state" school tuition? Or do you want to keep it to in-state residents? Currently Penn State with the VA covers the full cost differential between in-state and out-of state undergraduate tuition for Yellow Ribbon applicants eligible under the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Out-of-state applicants who are not eligible for Yellow Ribbon will pay the additional cost of tuition over the in-state tuition.
Do you want to donate additional money to each applicant should the need arise? Penn State will not contribute additional funds toward applicant expenses; however applicants may apply for the full range of other scholarships and financial aid available to qualified Penn State students.
Processing fees: $50 non-refundable application fee. Application fee is valid for a year should the applicant request a change in semester to begin enrollment
All majors open to Marines? Yes. Some programs have limited enrollment and earlier deadlines for consideration.
Recognize AA degree or any college course work: The MOU with Penn State is for first year students only. An applicant may have earned 17 or fewer college level credits and be considered a first year student.
Recognize awarding of college credits via alternative means, e.g., DANTES or CLEP: Yes.
