SAT/ACT mins: Ohio State employs a holistic admission evaluation which means no minimum score requirements. The middle 50% for the Au12 admitted class: ACT 27-31; SAT 1190 – 1340 (CR&M); approximately 54% of students come from top 10% of high school class; 89% are from top 25%.

 

SAT or ACT Scores must not be more than:  No student who has graduated high school more than 2 years ago is required to submit an ACT/SAT score.

Will you cover difference between tuition minus GI Bill and cost of in state "state" school tuition? Or do you want to keep it to in-state residents? By State of Ohio law, most active duty/veterans will be eligible for in-state tuition rates.

Do you want to donate additional money to each applicant should the need arise?   The university has an array of need-based grants and loans available for all students.

Processing fees: Applications fees are currently $60.

All majors open to Marines? Yes. Ohio State offers over 170 undergraduate majors.

Recognize AA degree or any college course work: Yes. An official college transcript(s) is required.

Recognize awarding of college credits via alternative means, e.g., DANTES or CLEP: ? Yes.

Additional information:  Ohio State now requires a letter of recommendation for freshman applicants.  Transfer students do not need to submit a letter of recommendation. Marines choosing to apply after their term of service should include job description, rank and responsibilities as we will include that in the evaluation.
