Freshmen: There are no “minimum” scores required, though the admission committee notes with concern test scores that fall below state-defined “remedial” levels (19 ACT, 950 SAT cr/m). For freshmen admitted for the Fall 2010 semester, the average ACT score was 24.5; the average SAT score (critical reading and math) was 1134.
Transfer Students: ACT or SAT test scores are not required for transfer applicants but may be used to determine placement into college composition for applicants who have not successfully completed the course prior to enrollment.
SAT or ACT Scores must not be more than: CSU does not have an age limit on SAT or ACT scores.
Test scores are not required of applicants who are 23 years of age or older or who have been out of high school five or more years; however, it can be to an applicant’s advantage to submit results (if available) as state guidelines significantly limit the space available for admission without test scores. In addition, the test scores may be used to determine placement into college composition.
